“Kyoto University and Africa” Published

The Kyoto University Interdisciplinary Unity for African Studies has published‘ Kyoto University and Africa’ to communicate the university’s Africa-related research, teaching, and international contributions. The booklet presents departments and researchers at the university who have engaged with Africa in various fields spanning both the natural and social sciences.

The research on Africa produced during this half-century spans a number of fields, beyond just primatology, anthropology, and area studies. At present, there are more than sixty full-time faculty members who conduct research or teach about Africa.

It is our hope that all faculty members and students at the university, as well as friends outside the university with an interest in our Africa-related research, teaching, and international contributions, will learn about and support our activities.
